Welcoming Dr. Shirli Tay: New Vascular Surgeon Joining Our Practice in September 2026

Dr. Shirli Tay completed the Vascular Surgery Integrated Residency Program at Washington University in St. Louis, where she trained in comprehensive vascular and endovascular care.

Dr. Tay earned her Doctor of Medicine and Master of Population Health Sciences from Washington University School of Medicine. Prior to medical school, she completed post-baccalaureate studies at the University of Maryland and earned her bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and Economics, Magna Cum Laude, from George Washington University.

In addition to her clinical training, Dr. Tay has contributed to peer-reviewed vascular research, including work involving abdominal aortic aneurysms and lower-extremity vascular disease. Her research achievements have been recognized by the American Heart Association, which awarded her the Robert W. Hobson II, MD Early Career Investigator Award through its Council on Peripheral Vascular Disease.

Dr. Tay is a candidate member of the Society for Vascular Surgery and the Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society. She is committed to providing thoughtful, evidence-based vascular care while helping patients understand their condition and treatment options.
