Karyn Robertson, PA-C

Karyn Robertson, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant with decades of clinical experience and extensive expertise in vascular surgery and surgical assisting. She holds a Master of Physician Assistant Studies in Surgery from the University at Albany and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Karyn joined Western Vascular Institute in 2022 as a Physician Assistant and surgical assistant. Prior to joining the practice, she spent nearly a decade with Crystal Run Healthcare, where her responsibilities included evaluating patients in the office, providing pre- and postoperative care, interpreting vascular studies, and assisting with a wide range of vascular procedures. Her surgical experience includes carotid endarterectomy, endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR), transcarotid artery revascularization (TCAR), femoral-popliteal bypass procedures with vein harvest, sclerotherapy, and stab phlebectomy.

With a career in patient care dating back to the 1980s, Karyn brings extensive clinical knowledge and surgical experience to the Western Vascular Institute team. She is dedicated to providing attentive, comprehensive care and supporting patients before, during, and after treatment.

Jennifer Culbert, FNP-C

Jennifer Culbert, FNP-C, is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in vascular medicine, critical care, and cardiovascular nursing. She earned both her Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner focus and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University.

Jennifer joined Western Vascular Institute in 2022 and provides care to patients across the outpatient clinic, office-based laboratory, and hospital settings. Prior to joining the practice, she worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner in vascular and gastrointestinal medicine. Her background also includes more than 15 years of nursing experience, with much of her career spent caring for critically ill patients in cardiac, medical, trauma, and burn intensive care units.

Jennifer’s extensive critical care background provides a strong foundation for managing patients with both routine and complex vascular conditions. She works closely with the physicians and multidisciplinary team at Western Vascular Institute to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care. Jennifer is passionate about patient education and helping individuals better understand their vascular health, treatment options, and the steps they can take to achieve better long-term outcomes.

Hayley Chamberlain, AGPCNP-BC

Hayley Chamberlain, AGPCNP-BC, is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with a strong clinical background in cardiovascular and vascular care. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing with an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner focus from Wilkes University after completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Grand Canyon University.

Hayley has been part of the Western Vascular Institute team since 2021, where her experience has included preoperative and postoperative patient care, procedural nursing, conscious sedation, angiogram circulation, postoperative recovery, and infection prevention. Before joining Western Vascular Institute, she cared for critically ill cardiovascular patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Banner Heart Hospital, including patients following open-heart surgery and those requiring advanced cardiovascular monitoring and support.

Her years of hands-on experience with vascular and cardiovascular patients provide Hayley with a valuable perspective in her role as a Nurse Practitioner. Having cared for Western Vascular Institute patients as a registered nurse before advancing into her current role, she brings continuity, clinical knowledge, and a deep familiarity with the patient experience. Hayley is committed to providing compassionate, individualized care and empowering patients through education so they can take an active role in managing their vascular health.

Jessica Sachs, FNP-BC

Jessica Sachs, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a diverse clinical background spanning acute care, medical-surgical nursing, telemetry, emergency care, and surgical patient management. She earned her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner studies from United States University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Drexel University.

Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Jessica gained extensive experience caring for patients across a variety of complex clinical settings. Her nursing career has included work at nationally recognized institutions such as Tampa General Hospital, Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Albany Medical Center, as well as assignments throughout Arizona and across the country. Her experience includes caring for patients in medical-surgical, telemetry, progressive care, emergency, orthopedic, neurological, trauma, and general surgery settings.

Jessica brings a broad clinical perspective and a strong foundation in evidence-based care to her role at Western Vascular Institute. She is committed to helping patients understand their vascular health and treatment options while providing thoughtful, individualized care throughout their treatment journey.

Cynthia Peters, CRNFA, FNP-C

Cynthia Peters, CRNFA, FNP-C, is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant with decades of nursing and surgical experience. She has been part of Western Vascular Institute since 2011, serving as both an office Nurse Practitioner and surgical assistant.

Cynthia began her healthcare career in the operating room and has built an extensive clinical background spanning more than four decades. She completed her nursing education at St. Joseph’s Mercy School of Nursing and Briar Cliff College in Sioux City, Iowa, and later earned her Nurse Practitioner education from the University of Phoenix. She has practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2007 and as a Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant since 1995.

Her combination of advanced practice nursing and extensive operating-room experience gives Cynthia a valuable perspective on the full continuum of vascular care—from office evaluation and patient education to surgical treatment and follow-up. She is committed to providing compassionate, knowledgeable care and helping patients feel informed and comfortable throughout their experience at Western Vascular Institute.
